Junior Football Teams

Calderdale’s top amateur football club. Since becoming a partner of OSCA Foundation, we have developed junior teams into an organisation which is more than just a group of junior football teams, we are a family with a shared passion for football. The Saturday morning “Soccer Nippers” training has produced an u/8 boys/girls team, along with u/11 boys/girls sides. These two teams have added to the u/15 girls team and the highly successful u/16 boys teams.

In total, we now have 16 teams which play for Ovenden West Riding.  Our boys play in the Huddersfield junior League and our girls play in the West Riding Girls League.

We have teams across most age groups and are always looking to add more.  If you wish to see details of the teams and the coaches, just select the team from the menu at the top of the page.  If you do not see a team that you are interested in, still get in touch, we will be able to help.

Is your child or children looking for a local football team?  If so, Ovenden West Riding Juniors AFC are recruiting players for their under 7's, u/11 Cougars and under 12's teams for the 23/24 season.

The teams are open to boys and girls.  The only stipulation is that they must be under a certain age by the 31st August.  For example, to play on the Under 12's team, you must be under 12 on the 31st August this year. 

We have now started training, but they are welcome to join our teams at any time.
